In October, the IEEE Industry Engagement Committee (EIC) and IEEE Technical Activities (TA), through the TAB Committee on Technical Community Outreach, Engagement, and Society Membership, came together to co-host the first-ever nationwide IEEE Virtual Career Fair (USA) — a landmark example of what collaboration across IEEE can achieve. The event brought together IEEE-USA, IEEE Member and Geographic Activities, IEEE Students, IEEE Young Professionals, IEEE Women in Engineering, and multiple Societies, including IEEE Power & Energy Society, IEEE Industry Applications Society, and IEEE Signal Processing Society.

The results speak for themselves:
- 2,000+ attendees from all six U.S. regions
- 40+ hiring companies with 150+ active recruiters
- 2,000+ job applications submitted during the event
- 500+ internships and roles posted across key technical sectors
- 102 live interviews conducted during the fair
- 15+ live sessions and workshops, viewed by 1,400+ participants
Top companies included TSMC, Morgan Stanley, TRC Companies, Siemens, AMETEK, and Westinghouse, representing high-impact sectors such as semiconductors, energy, and advanced manufacturing.

Societies and Techical Activities staff hosted booths and roundtables alongside recruiters — illustrating how IEEE can unite technical communities, employers, and members in a single, seamless experience.

Looking Ahead
The success of the IEEE Career Fair (USA) now sets the stage for a global series of IEEE Virtual Career Fairs across Canada; Latin America; Europe, Middle East, and Africa; and Asia-Pacific — scaling a model that connects talent, technology, and opportunity worldwide.
Through initiatives like these, IEEE continues to turn strategy into impact; empowering IEEE Societies, members, and industry partners to collaborate, innovate, and advance technology for the benefit of humanity.
